Two people who are thought to be husband and wife were shot by some as-yet-unidentified assailants, who then left their bodies in the boot of their Toyota Camry, which has the license plate EE-621-EU.
Early on Wednesday morning, onlookers near the Tempo Junction, Umunya section of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway noticed the two freshly dripping corpses.
A video that is presently spreading on social media shows onlookers encircling and scrutinizing the dark-colored Toyota Corolla. The two new bodies were thrown into the boot of the car with the doors wide open.
The blood saw leaking from under the car boot suggested the victim may have been killed recently.
DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police Command, verified the occurrence when asked about the situation.
Ikenga continued, saying that the two dead bodies had been found and placed in a mortuary by the Oyi Division police officers, and that inquiries were underway to determine the cause of their deaths.
Two dead bodies were found in a car boot along the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway at around 7:30 am today, 24 January 2024, by police officers attached to the Oyi Division under the direction of the DPO.
At the location, the agents also found the abandoned automobile and a few enlarged cartridges. Investigations have started as the bodies have been placed in the morgue.
According to preliminary reports, a man and a woman who had gunshot wounds all over their bodies and visible signs of brutality were killed and left in a black Corolla with the license plate Lagos AAA 621 EU. Please provide further information; Ikenga continued.
