Hamzat Adebola, the Commissioner of Police for Oyo State, paraded the late Lamidi Mukaila, also known as Auxiliary, as the previous Chairman of the Park Management System on Thursday.
The state capital of Ibadan is home to Auxillary, who was detained by the Department of State Services (DSS) two weeks ago. The police had designated Auxillary sought for his suspected involvement in multiple armed robberies, kidnappings, and murder cases.
The state commissioner announced that Auxillary had been arrested and would face charges after working with other security agencies, while presenting the suspect to the state police command.
Adebola also expressed gratitude to the populace for supplying reliable data aimed at reducing crime in the state.
He restated the command’s determination to take decisive action against any criminally motivated person or organization that seeks to regressively bring the state back to the era of the “Wild West.”
