Babatunji Wusu –

Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, lost his dad.

Businessman Pa Suleimon Atanda Obasa, 83, departed this life in the early hours of Tuesday.

The Chief Press Secretary informed Speaker Eromosele Ebhomele of this in a statement.

Throughout his life, Baba Obasa was a devoted husband, father, and community leader. He also owned filling stations and was a prosperous businessman in the oil and gas and transportation industries.

He was also well-known for his accomplishments in farming, which have always given many people more power.

Pa Obasa was a devout Muslim who committed his life to serving Allah and humanity by providing for the underprivileged and the indigent.

His spouses, kids, and grandchildren—among whom is the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly—all survive him.

Islamic customs dictate that his bones would be buried at 4 p.m. in the Agege (Old Abeokuta Motor Road) neighborhood of Lagos State.
