The Plateau State Police Command has announced the recovery of a stolen Toyota Hiace vehicle in Jos, just three days after it was reported missing. Police Spokesman Alabo Alfred shared that the vehicle was found following swift action from the Bukuru Division, which executed stop-and-search operations in the area.

The vehicle, stolen on September 16, 2024, was recovered in the possession of a suspect identified as Kabiru Mohammed from Sabon Gari Narabi Toro LGA in Bauchi State on September 18 at approximately 12:45 AM. The suspect is currently in custody, assisting police with information that may lead to additional recoveries. Once the investigation is complete, he will be charged in court.

Commissioner of Police Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina reaffirmed the command’s dedication to ensuring the safety of lives and property within the state, emphasizing that any actions threatening the fragile peace in Plateau will not be tolerated. He also called on the public to provide timely and accurate information to support police operations.
