“Champions League 2024-25: Acerbi to Miss Inter Milan’s Match Against Young Boys”

Francesco Acerbi will miss Inter Milan’s Champions League match against Young Boys due to a thigh strain. The Italy defender was substituted in the first half of Inter’s 1-0 Serie A victory over Roma on Sunday. Tests confirmed a strain in the biceps femoris of his left thigh.

Acerbi will also be unavailable for Inter’s upcoming clash with rivals Juventus at the San Siro this weekend. Joining him on the sidelines is Hakan Calhanoglu, who also sustained a left thigh strain in the same match against Roma.

Currently, Inter Milan has four points in the new Champions League standings and is just outside the top eight, which secures direct qualification to the knockout stage.
