The Rivers State Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with the disappearance of Yahya Faruq, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member serving in Ikuru Town, Andoni Local Government Area. Faruq was last seen on Monday, October 14, 2024, after completing a shift at the LDM Chinese Milling Company, where he worked part-time.

The police spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the arrest, stating that investigations are ongoing. The Commissioner of Police, Muhammed Mustache, briefed NYSC officials during their visit, assuring them that efforts are being made to locate Faruq.

The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria expressed deep concern over Faruq’s sudden disappearance, urging for assistance to find him. His belongings, including his bag and phone, were returned to his primary assignment at Mixed Secondary School, further deepening the mystery. The search for Faruq continues, with his family and community appealing for help.
