Nigerians are among the world’s top social media users, ranking fifth globally in average daily usage time, according to 2024 data from Cable.co.uk and We Are Social, shared by World of Statistics. Nigerians spend an average of 3 hours and 23 minutes on social platforms each day.
Kenya leads with the highest daily use at 3 hours and 43 minutes, followed by South Africa at 3 hours and 37 minutes, Brazil with 3 hours and 34 minutes, and the Philippines at 3 hours and 33 minutes. Nigeria closely follows these countries, showing strong social media engagement.
Other nations with high social media times include Colombia (3:22), Chile (3:11), and Indonesia (3:11), highlighting the popularity of online interaction across various regions.
