Vice President Kashim Shettima on Tuesday encouraged recently released minors, detained after the #EndBadGovernance protests, to “use this chance for change” and build constructive lives. Speaking at the State House Auditorium in Abuja, Shettima highlighted that President Bola Tinubu’s decision to release them was based on “humanitarian grounds,” despite “evidence of their involvement.” He warned the youths against resorting to violence, reminding them of the N300 billion economic impact the protests caused.
On Monday, President Tinubu instructed the immediate release of detained minors, focusing on their rehabilitation and reintegration, while balancing legal and humanitarian considerations.
