Former Manchester United striker Teddy Sheringham suggests that Cristiano Ronaldo could find a warm welcome if he ever chooses to return to Old Trafford. Although Ronaldo left the club in 2022 after a controversial interview with Piers Morgan, Sheringham believes that a return might be possible under incoming manager Ruben Amorim, a fellow Portuguese and former teammate of Ronaldo’s.
“Cristiano would be very welcome back at Manchester United under Ruben Amorim,” Sheringham shared in an interview with FlashScore, though he acknowledged that Ronaldo, at 39, might instead focus on his post-playing career. Since joining Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo has become a star in the Middle East, embracing business over coaching.
Ronaldo himself echoed this sentiment, stating that he lacks interest in coaching. “For me, it will be difficult to coach this generation,” he recently shared on YouTube, expressing his plans to focus on business ventures as his next chapter.
