President Tinubu Appoints New Heads for Key Agencies and Special Adviser on Public Communications
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of new directors-general for three major federal agencies and a special adviser on Public Communications and Media.
The new appointees are:
- Mr. Olawale Olopade – Director-General, National Sports Commission
- Dr. Abisoye Fagade – Director-General, National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism
- Dr. Adebowale Adedokun – Director-General, Bureau of Public Procurement
- Daniel Bwala – Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications (State House)
A statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy, provides details on the new appointees:
- Olawale Olopade, the new Director-General of the National Sports Commission, brings a wealth of experience as a sports administrator. Olopade previously served as the commissioner for youth and sports in Ogun State and was the chairman of the 2024 National Sports Festival organizing committee.
- Dr. Abisoye Fagade, appointed Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, is a seasoned marketing communication professional. He is also the founder and managing director of Sodium Brand Solutions.
- Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, now leading the Bureau of Public Procurement, was the Director of Research/Training and Strategic Planning at the Bureau before this promotion.
- Daniel Bwala, a lawyer and respected public affairs analyst, has been appointed as the Special Adviser on Public Communications and Media in the State House.
