Access Bank has refuted claims that N500 million is missing from a customer’s account, following accusations made in a viral video. The bank issued a statement on Sunday, maintaining that it adheres to the highest ethical standards and does not engage in or condone unethical practices.

The allegations, made by social media influencer Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, involved sharp practices concerning the account of a deceased customer. In the statement, Access Bank emphasized that the security and safety of its customers’ funds are top priorities. The bank categorically denied the claims, stating, “There is no N500m or any other funds missing from the subject customer’s account or any other customer’s account with us.”

The bank further reassured the public that it, along with independent stakeholders in the banking industry, had thoroughly investigated the matter, with all parties arriving at the same conclusion. Access Bank urged the public to disregard sensational and unverified claims, reaffirming its commitment to ethical business practices and customer privacy.
