Abuja, Nigeria – Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has once again appeared before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to address allegations of misappropriating public funds.

Arriving at the EFCC headquarters in a black Toyota Hilux on Tuesday morning, Bello was accompanied by his legal team, signaling his readiness to tackle the fresh case brought against him by the anti-graft agency.

This latest appearance follows a landmark Supreme Court decision dismissing a suit challenging the EFCC’s authority, clearing the way for the commission to proceed with its investigations.

At a prior hearing on November 14, the EFCC had requested an adjournment until November 27, citing the 30-day legal window for compliance with the summons. Bello’s Tuesday appearance underscores the ongoing scrutiny surrounding his financial stewardship during his tenure as governor.

The case remains one of the most closely watched in the fight against corruption, with potential implications for governance and accountability in Nigeria.
