During a high-level meeting at the Palais des Élysée, President Bola Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to tackle Nigeria’s education crisis by drastically reducing the number of out-of-school children. Speaking alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, Tinubu unveiled innovative initiatives to return children to classrooms while equipping them with critical skills for the future.

 

Accompanied by First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the Nigerian leader emphasized that the nation’s progress depends on a well-educated populace. He detailed efforts to create a supportive framework for re-enrollment and skill acquisition, placing motivation at the core of these programs.

 

President Macron lauded Nigeria’s immense potential, recalling his own formative experiences in Lagos and Kano during a six-month internship at the French Embassy. He pledged stronger ties between the two nations, underscoring education as a pillar for future collaboration.

 

The State Visit concluded with both leaders and their spouses vowing to strengthen the France-Nigeria partnership to achieve shared developmental goals.
