In a shocking act of mob justice, a group of enraged youths set fire to a tricycle, commonly known as Adaidaita Sahu, along Ibrahim Taiwo Road in Kano on Saturday night. The vehicle was reportedly being used by suspected phone thieves to carry out criminal activities in the area.

The suspects were apprehended by the crowd after their tricycle was destroyed and were subsequently handed over to the police. SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, spokesperson for the Kano State Police Command, confirmed that five mobile phones were recovered from the individuals. They remain in police custody as investigations continue.

The Kano State Police Command has called on the public to refrain from taking justice into their own hands and to report criminal activities directly to the authorities, ensuring that justice is served through lawful means.
