  • Ikorodu City FC has unveiled 12 new players to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
  • The club signed seven new players and promoted five from its academy.
  • The announcement follows a successful 2-1 victory over Kwara United FC in a recent NPFL match.

Ikorodu City FC, a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, has introduced 12 new players to bolster their squad for the rest of the 2024/2025 season. The unveiling took place on Monday at the club’s secretariat in Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

Samuel Bamisebi, the club’s Director of Media and Communications, explained that the team’s decision to register more players was a response to emerging needs during the mid-season transfer window. Out of the 12 players, seven are newly signed, while the remaining five are promoted from the club’s academy.

The new signings include:

  • Wisdom Ubani
  • Manaseh Gideon
  • Oladimeji Dada
  • Victor Ejukah
  • Nasiru Suleiman
  • Pere Anderson
  • Sunday Raimi

Meanwhile, the academy players are:

  • Kammonke Willie
  • Sheu Agboola
  • Musa Malik
  • Joseph George
  • Chiemerie Ezeaka

Ikorodu City FC is in high spirits after their 2-1 victory over Kwara United FC on Sunday in the 2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 23. Despite trailing 1-0 early in the game, the Ikorodu side made a strong comeback, with Toyeeb Ajeyigbe scoring the equalizer in the 7th minute, followed by a match-winning header from Shola Adelani in the 64th minute. The win has energized the team as they look forward to the rest of the season.
