The much-anticipated Copa del Rey semifinals have been set following a draw at the Spanish Football Federation on Wednesday. Barcelona, the record-time champions with 31 titles, will go head-to-head with Atletico Madrid, who have claimed the trophy 10 times. The first leg will be played at Barcelona’s home ground, before the teams travel to the Metropolitano Stadium for the return leg.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid, the 20-time winners, will face Sociedad, who have won the competition twice. Carlo Ancelotti’s side, who lifted the Copa del Rey in 2023, will visit Sociedad in the first leg and welcome them to the Santiago Bernabeu for the second.

This marks the first time since 2014 that the three giants of Spanish football—Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atletico—have reached the semifinals together.
