PDP Sweeps Osun LG Polls, Clinches All Chairmanship, Councillorship Seats

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has secured a clean sweep in the recently concluded Osun State local government elections, winning all chairmanship and councillorship seats.

The Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) chairman, Hashim Abioye, declared the results on Saturday evening through a Facebook Live broadcast.

According to Abioye, PDP candidates emerged victorious in all 332 wards and the 30 local government areas across the state.

However, the OSSIEC chairman raised concerns over a security blockade at the commission’s headquarters, which he said hindered the distribution of electoral materials to polling units.
