Speaking in Port Harcourt after arriving from Abuja, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi accused the administration of President Bola Tinubu of allowing widespread starvation, causing daily deaths among Nigerians. Highlighting public frustration, Amaechi warned that if Tinubu secures a second term, the consequences would be deadlier.

Addressing his supporters and members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), the coalition he recently joined, Amaechi called for a robust grassroots campaign across Rivers State to mobilize voters ahead of the 2027 elections. He emphasized the need to end the notorious practice of election result manipulation in the state, urging citizens not to be discouraged by claims that results are predetermined but to participate actively in voting to effect change.

Amaechi’s message underscores growing concerns over economic hardship and food insecurity in Nigeria, a crisis widely recognized as escalating with millions facing acute hunger. His call to action reflects an opposition effort to challenge the current government’s record and mobilize political engagement at the grassroots level ahead of the next general election.
