LAGOS — The Ikeja Magistrate’s Court in Ogba, Lagos, on Wednesday dismissed all charges against Comfort Emmanson, the passenger earlier accused of unruly conduct and assault aboard an Ibom Air flight.

Presiding Magistrate Olanrewaju Salami struck out the five-count charge after police formally withdrew the case.

The allegations claimed Emmanson disrupted order on the flight, assaulted a crew member, and acted in a manner capable of breaching public peace. She had earlier pleaded not guilty.

During Wednesday’s proceedings, Police Prosecutor Oluwabunmi Adeitan told the court the complainant and the airline had lost interest in pursuing the matter. Acting on police instructions, she moved for the withdrawal of the case.

Magistrate Salami granted the request and ordered Emmanson’s immediate discharge.
