AS Roma have set their sights on Chelsea youngster Tyrique George as a possible replacement for Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho, who recently turned down a move to the Serie A side.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Roma have already asked about the deal conditions for George, who has emerged as one of the club’s top options to fill the left-wing role.

The 18-year-old Chelsea winger is attracting serious interest across Europe, with RB Leipzig and several Premier League clubs also monitoring his situation.

Roma’s pursuit of George comes after Sancho rejected a switch to Italy. Club director Frederic Massara confirmed the collapse of the talks, saying: “There are no conditions to proceed with this deal, especially as Sancho doesn’t have the motivations to join AS Roma.”

With Sancho off the table, Roma’s focus now shifts to securing George, whose rising profile continues to make him one of the most sought-after young talents in Europe.
