Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has praised the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies for responding swiftly to the kidnapping of students and teachers at St. Mary’s Catholic Primary and Secondary Schools in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area.

Governor Bago gave the commendation when the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Zone 7, Victor Olaiya, visited him at the Government House in Minna on a sympathy mission.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to backing ongoing rescue operations and ensuring the safe return of all abducted victims. The governor stressed that the state would continue to provide every necessary support to security operatives working to track down the attackers.

Earlier, AIG Olaiya disclosed that more tactical teams had been deployed to strengthen the rescue efforts. He urged residents to supply useful information and cooperate fully with security agencies to speed up the operation.
