American hip-hop icon Trevor Smith Jr., popularly known as Busta Rhymes, has revealed plans to relocate to Nigeria after retirement, saying he intends to build a home and start a family in the country.
The 53-year-old rapper made the disclosure midway into his performance at the Detty December Fest in Lagos over the weekend, drawing loud cheers from the audience.
Busta Rhymes described his visit to Nigeria as “special,” noting that it took him 15 years to finally make the trip. He said the experience has strengthened his desire to settle in the country when he steps away from active music.
“I’m looking for a home here. I’m looking for property. I’m thinking about finding a wife so that when I stop working, I can settle down here,” the rapper told the crowd.
The award-winning artiste has never been married. However, he is a father of six children from four different women.
