The Chairman of the Igbo National Council (INC), Rivers State Chapter, Engr. Hon. Okechukwu Chinomnso, has applauded Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara for fostering peace, inclusivity, and sustainable development in Rivers State.
In a New Year goodwill message dated January 2, 2026, Engr. Chinomnso praised the governor’s deliberate efforts at making Rivers State a safe, welcoming, and conducive environment for all residents, including members of the Igbo community.
He commended Governor Fubara’s leadership style, describing it as people-oriented and anchored on good governance, noting that the administration’s commitment to peace, stability, and economic progress has earned widespread respect across ethnic and cultural lines.
According to him, the state government’s interventions in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic empowerment have strengthened social cohesion and reinforced a sense of belonging among non-indigenes, particularly the Igbo community.
Engr. Chinomnso emphasized that the inclusive posture of the Fubara administration has enhanced security and unity in the state, assuring the governor of the continued support and cooperation of the Igbo National Council in advancing Rivers State’s development agenda.
He reaffirmed the council’s readiness to collaborate with the government in promoting unity, peace, and shared prosperity, while offering prayers for divine guidance, wisdom, and protection for the governor and his administration in the new year.
The INC chairman concluded by describing Governor Fubara as a champion of inclusivity and good governance, urging sustained commitment to policies that unite the people and strengthen the state.
