Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has slammed his former club, Napoli, claiming they treated him “like a dog” amid tensions over a missed penalty.

The Galatasaray forward made the remarks following a controversial TikTok video by Napoli mocking him for failing to convert a penalty against Bologna. Osimhen revealed that his fallout with the club’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, led to repeated attempts to push him out.

“We had a gentleman’s agreement that I could leave the following summer, but the other side didn’t fully fulfill that commitment,” Osimhen told Gazzetta dello Sport. “They tried to send me everywhere, they treated me like a dog. Go here, go there, do this, do that. I worked so hard for my career; I could not accept that kind of treatment. I’m not a puppet.”

Osimhen’s comments come ahead of Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16 playoff first-leg clash on Tuesday, where he will look to showcase his skills on Europe’s biggest stage.
