Michelle Mukoro, the social media personality widely known as influencer King Mitchy, is alive, her management confirmed after retracting an earlier statement that announced her death.
In a fresh update posted online, her team declared, “Michelle is okay now,” effectively reversing a previous announcement that claimed she had died at Prime Care Hospital in Abuja.
The confusion erupted at the height of a fierce social media clash between King Mitchy and activist VeryDarkMan over allegations linked to her charitable activities. Mitchy had earlier boasted that she renovated a school within six days and openly challenged VeryDarkMan over his handling of public donations since 2025.
The feud intensified when VeryDarkMan alleged that Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, was bankrolling Mitchy’s charity projects. The accusation fueled heated exchanges across social platforms and reportedly led to the loss of Mitchy’s business Instagram account.
Tension peaked when the influencer appeared in a disturbing live video, where she was seen consuming a substance believed to be a bleach product commonly referred to as “hypo.” The video triggered widespread panic among her followers.
Shortly after, her management issued a statement claiming she had died at Prime Care Hospital in Abuja, alleging that medical personnel failed to revive her. The statement urged the public to respect her family’s privacy during the supposed period of mourning.
However, Prime Care Hospital swiftly debunked the claim, insisting that Mitchy was never admitted to their facility. The hospital also warned that it would pursue legal action against individuals spreading false information about the matter.
With her management now confirming she is alive, questions continue to swirl around the circumstances that led to the premature death announcement and the escalating dispute between the influencer and her online critic.
