Pacesetter Queens have responded to reports that former player Ihotu John Rebecca was abducted along the Benin Expressway, with kidnappers allegedly demanding a ₦20 million ransom.

In an official statement, the Oyo State-based club clarified that Rebecca was released during the ongoing transfer window and is no longer part of its contractual structure.

Despite this, the club expressed deep concern about her reported situation, emphasizing that her safety remains important irrespective of her current registration status.

Pacesetter Queens noted that the matter is being treated with seriousness and urged relevant authorities to ensure her safe return.
