The Rivers State House of Assembly on Thursday inaugurated Napoleon Ukalikpe and Henrietta Dinebari Loolo as new members of the Assembly following their victories in the February 21, 2026 by-elections.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Assembly Chambers in Port Harcourt, marking the formal entry of the lawmakers into the state legislature.
Ukalikpe will represent Ahoada East State Constituency II, while Loolo will represent Khana State Constituency II.
Both lawmakers emerged winners in the by-elections conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission to fill vacant seats in the Assembly and restore full legislative representation to the affected constituencies.
The two legislators contested and won their seats on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
Their inauguration expands the membership of the Assembly and completes legislative representation for Ahoada East II and Khana II constituencies.
