Onoh Chukwuka Richard, a Nigerian businessman, is said to have killed himself after losing N2.5 million on a wager over the weekend.

According to accounts, he used a pesticide called sharpshooter. After that, he was brought to a hospital in the state of Abia, where a hospital doctor verified his death.

The young man from Arochukwu Local Government Area had left a mysterious note on his Facebook page indicating that a calamity was about to occur before he tragically died.

Richard, who was well-known in Abia State, said, “It’s my last day on earth today. I’m going to meet my maker,” he said, giving thanks to a few of his well-known acquaintances.

The self-destructor bemoaned in another post that he had lost 2.5 million naira on a bet. He revealed that he was worried about paying back the debt he had borrowed from someone for 1.2 million of the total money lost.

He went on to express his worries about how his unemployment had pushed him into gaming. Richard brought up the prospect of passing away by the time the reader viewed the exchange with a buddy.

Richard made the terrible decision to take his own life because he believed that it was the only way to escape having to face his creditor.
