A commissioner in Bauchi was detained after being caught by his best friend with his 18-year-old daughter.

The police in Bauchi State have detained Mohammed Damina, a former commissioner of information, for reportedly k#lling his best friend while courting his (best friend’s) daughter.

On Sunday evening, October 30, in the state’s Yelwan Lebra district, Galadiman Dass, 68, killed his neighbor and best friend Adamu Babanta, 67, in a deadly car accident. According to reports, the trouble began when Babanta discovered Damina with his 18-year-old daughter, Khadija, on that crucial night.

Senior secondary school student Khadija described the encounter to reporters, claiming that the ex-commissioner had her number from a friend and had repeatedly asked her out, but she had turned him down.
