A MAGISTRATE WAS ARRESTED FOR DRESSING UP AS A LADY IN ORDER TO WRITE A LAW EXAM FOR HIS LOVER.

Musa Semwogerere, a freshly appointed Magistrate, was arrested for impersonating as a woman in order to sit for exams for his fiancée at the Law Development Centre (LDC) Lira, Uganda.

According to sources, the Judicial Service Commission upgraded him to the level of grade one magistrate two weeks ago. On Friday, July 28, 2023, Semwogerere, also known as Mukisa Anthony, was caught red-handed while writing exams for his girlfriend, Irene Mutonyi.

The accused has been charged with two counts of forgery and is being held in custody until August 3. On social media, photos of him costumed as a woman with braided hair have gone viral.

According to LDC director Frank Nigel Othembi, Semwogerere’s conduct violated Section 351 of the Penal Code Act and Impersonation violated Section 381 of the Penal Code Act.
