A NIGERIAN FOOTBALLER COLLAPSES AND PASSES AWAY IN KOGI.

Segun Idowu, a football player from Nigeria, collapsed and passed away at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja, Kogi State.

He reportedly slouched on the field on Friday, January 27, after colliding with a teammate. He passed away despite being sent to the hospital right away for treatment.

Alhaji Suleiman Isah Umar, the chairman of the Kogi State Football Association, confirmed the depressing news to reporters.
We were saddened to learn this morning that Segun, a football player for Barnet FC named Lokoja who collapsed and fell to the ground after colliding with a teammate, had died.

The crash took place while we were on the field. He was brought back to life and soon sent to the hospital. The hospital reported that he was doing well, and we continued to pray for God Almighty to step in, only to learn with sadness that he had passed away,” he stated.
