Thirteen-year-old Kelvin Onyengba tragically lost his life while having fun at Alatise beach in the Ajah neighborhood of Lagos State.
The deceased and five of his pals were swimming when the event happened on Tuesday around noon.
A police source claims that on February 27, Kelvin tragically lost his life as a result of the intensity of the sea’s waves.
“The incident happened yesterday,” the insider stated. The boy’s mother said that her son was washed away by the water’s wave. She claims that he went swimming and hanging out with five of his buddies, but regrettably, the youngster never returned to his parents.
When contacted for comment, Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the Lagos State Police, confirmed the occurrence.
Local detectives had already examined the scene of the tragedy, according to Hundeyin, who also added that the family of the deceased was still waiting for the corpse to be found.
