Frank Igho Okpokoro Vaughan, a well-known Nigerian director and former vice president of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), has reportedly passed away.
Delta State native Vaughan reportedly passed away in Warri on Tuesday following a lengthy fight with illness.
His younger brother, Philip Okpokoro, a series director and cinematographer for the reality TV program “Nigerian Idols,” verified the tragic news to reporters.
The late film director mentored budding filmmakers and had a significant influence on the development of the Nigerian film industry.
In addition to being a political and current events expert, he is an experienced TV producer and director.
Vaughan, who was in his 60s, had recently served as a pastor at Dominion City Church in Asaba, Delta State, when he passed away.
