The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has cited that the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja has recorded over 3.8million passengers between January and August, 2022.
According to the Authority, as of August 2022, the airport processed 3,247,484 domestic passengers and 638,502 worldwide passengers.
The Managing Director of FAAN, Captain Rabiu Yadudu cited these in the course of the fortieth anniversary of the Abuja airport and the commissioning of the computerized park and pay service.
Yadudu, who was once represented through Director of Airport Operations, Captain Muktar Muye, said: “The airport was once commissioned on twenty ninth September 1982 and the first business flight used to be Kabo airways Boeing 727 running from Kano -Lagos en route Abuja, whilst the 2d was once Nigeria Airways Boeing 727 aircraft. The airport has endured to develop in leaps and bounds given that 1982.
