Barrister Julius Abure, national head of the Labour Party (LP), has reportedly been taken into custody by the Nigerian Police.
On Wednesday, the LP chairman was taken into custody in Benin City, Edo State.
Although the exact reasons surrounding his detention are unknown at this time, it is generally accepted that they have something to do with the party’s continuing internal conflict.
Abure has come under fire after it was claimed that he had embezzled Party funds worth over N3 billion.
