Tunji Wusu –

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reassured Nigerians that when her pet project, the Renewed Hope Initiative, truly takes off, it will provide comfort and assistance to families around the nation. This was revealed by Tinubu, who is the chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative, in a statement provided to journalists on Friday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja by her spokeswoman, Bukola Kukoyi.

The First Lady reportedly made this statement following the second meeting of the initiative’s Governing Board, which was held in her office at the Aso Rock Villa. The First Lady stated that all procedures have been put in order to guarantee a smooth start to the initiative in all 36 federation states and the FCT. She clarified that as the project is all-inclusive for the federation, the many states and local governments will be participating.

She mentioned that the project’s main focuses are on agriculture, health, education, social investment, and economic empowerment. She also mentioned that on Friday, July 14, there would be a meeting with the wives of all state governors where the project’s implementation strategies would be discussed.

The vice president of the federation’s wife, Hajiya Nana Shettima, who serves as the initiative’s national vice chairman, expressed the enthusiasm of the initiative’s governing board in her remarks following the meeting, noting that Nigerians are in for better times to support the federal government’s efforts.

The initiative will soar on the wings of collaborative efforts from all sectors, according to Chief Chioma Uzodinma, the initiative’s national secretary and the wife of the governor of Imo State.

The wife of the president of the senate, Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, the chief of staff to the president, Mrs. Salamatu Gbajabiamila, professor Hafsat Ganduje, and the APC National Woman Leader, Dr. Beta Edu, who are all members of the governing board, were also present at the meeting.
