Tyson Fury stated that Anthony Joshua “didn’t want” to compete for the heavyweight championship, and he plans to “smash” Derek Chisora if the two meet again in December.
The much anticipated fight between Fury and Joshua, the former WBA, IBF, and WBO champion, was called off earlier this week due to a breakdown in communication between the two camps.
Chisora is one of the contenders to face Fury once more, with a December fight set to be announced next week. Chisora previously faced the WBC champion at ringside and suffered two losses to him earlier in his career.
Fury said to iD Boxing why his bout with Joshua fell through: “He didn’t want the fight, didn’t press it, and didn’t sign the contract.
“In my opinion, and I’m being brutally honest here, AJ has to be more assertive and stop taking b***s.
