A total of 2000 South Eastern businesses have given N1 billion to Aswaj Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s campaign for president of the All Progressives Congress.
On Thursday, during the Town Hall meeting between Tinubu and local business leaders, Governor Hope Uzodimma announced this.
He claimed that the group’s members came from the five states in the area.
“I’m glad to report that our populace has given our presidential candidate, who is here today to offer his vision and plan for Nigeria and the Middle East, their unwavering support. 2,000 business entrepreneurs from the South East states have raised N1 billion to support this objective “Governor Uzodimma remarked.
The group, according to Emeka Mgbudem, a spokeswoman, is dedicated to peace and believes in Nigeria.
After reading Tinubu’s Action Plan for Nigeria, he said that each member gave N500,000 because they supported him.
He claimed that an Ibo man invests his heart where he places his money.
However, he requested that Tinubu develop highways connecting the state capitals in the area and remove the numerous checkpoints that were placed along the region’s routes.
In response, Tinubu promised to implement technology in the port clearing of products that will make road checks unnecessary.
Additionally, he pledged to lead a government that treats every Nigerian equally.
