Community leader John Yusuf stated in an interview with TheCable on Monday that the bandits had gotten in touch with the victims’ families and had also demanded 150 motorcycles and 11 Hilux trucks.
This is the first time that bandits have made such a significant demand since Nigerian kidnappings for ransom began. On February 28, robbers kidnapped multiple people and killed two Anguwan Auta villagers in Gonin Gora.
On February 29, locals protested against the kidnapping and k+lling by closing the Kaduna-Abuja route for many hours following the att+ck. According to Yusuf, the village was targeted by the bandits twice in a week.
“We’ve been approached by the bandits. In exchange for the release of the 16 individuals they are imprisoning, they are want N40 trillion, 11 Hilux vehicles, and 150 motorcycles, he claimed.
