A top officer in the Nigerian Army named Brigadier General I. M. Ahmadu has passed away. On Monday, August 21, at the Second Annual Physical Training Test for 2023, he apparently fell and died while running.

Ahmadu, an artillery officer working for the Army Headquarters Department of Special Services and Programmes, was reportedly declared dead upon arrival at the hospital, according to SaharaReporters.

“Unfortunately, during the second annual physical training test for the year 2023, an Army Brigadier General passed away while running. Brigadier General I.M. Ahmadu is a serving Artillery Officer in the Army Headquarters Department of Special Services and Programmes.

However, the General was buried today evening in accordance with Islamic tradition, according to a senior military source.
