ACCORDING TO REPORTS, A POLICE CADET WAS ARRESTED IN KANO.

A.S. Jika, a police cadet enrolled in the 100-level course 9 at the Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, Kano State, reportedly committed suicide.

According to reports, JIka passed away on Saturday, September 2, after allegedly being st@rved and maltreated nonstop for more than two weeks.

According to PM News, a number of cadets have accused Assistant Inspector-General Sadiq Abubakar, the commandant of the academy, of being haughty and mismanaging money meant for the pupils’ meal plans.

In the wee hours of Saturday, Jika, an Adamawa State student majoring in computer science, collapsed inside a lavatory.

An unidentified cadet revealed that the victim was hurriedly taken to the clinic at the academy after his collision. The insider continued, “He was left without treatment because there were no doctors and no medical officer to attend to him in the inhospitable environment before he gave up and died.
