ACCORDING TO REPORTS, A TRADITIONAL PRIEST WAS ARRESTED AFTER STORMING A SPOT TO STOP A DEMOLITION EXERCISE.

Residents were shocked after a reputed traditionalist was apprehended by police after being summoned to stop a demolition effort in the Nima neighborhood of the Accra region.

In a viral video, the priest is seen heroically arriving after being summoned by some members of the community to assist them in stopping the demolition of their properties.

The fetish priest, who was smeared with a white substance all over his body, is seen pouring out the contents of a bottle he was carrying in his hand, which was understood to be local alcohol, ‘akpeteshi,’ at the prompting of the audience. As he neared the demolition site, he ‘faced off’ with a police officer who approached him and urged him to remain calm.

Another cop could be heard directing the officers who were interacting with the fetish priest to “whisk him away.”

The cops are then seen escorting him away from the demolition site.
