On May 29, it was reported that Department of State Services (DSS) agents invaded the EFCC’s office in Lagos, claiming control of the premises at Awolowo Road.
The DSS officials reportedly came at the office and parked on the road leading to the EFCC office, according to Channels Television. Men from the DSS allegedly moved inside the premises after the EFCC personnel finished their shift to bar them from entering when they started back at work today, May 30.
An official of the commission said off-camera to Channels Television, “The DSS even parked two armored personnel carriers outside the gate and took over our premises to prevent us from entering our offices.”
The DSS asserted possession of the building, and the report states that “our correspondent, Shola Soyele, also learned that there had previously been an ongoing dispute between the two agencies.
