Former All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Adamu Garba has asked Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi to step aside for his mentor, APC presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Garba announced this on Thursday via his Twitter account. He asked Obi to resign and endorse Tinubu, the APC’s candidate.

His words: Peter Obi’s poor rally today in Port Harcourt should serve as a perfect breakfast from his ambition.

“He should immediately step down & endorse the real and truly prepared Presidential Candidate; Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu & stop separating Southeast from the center.

However, when asked the role he (Peter Obi) would be given if he accepts to step down for Tinubu, Garba opined: “He’ll be assigned to watch Alaka bridge & keep counting daily container movement to and from Apapa ports. That will suit him because he is obsessed with containers.”
