The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared its ambition to take control of the federal government in the 2027 general elections, with the party’s National Chairman, David Mark, unveiling a nationwide membership registration drive to mobilise support.
Mark spoke on Thursday in Abuja during the official launch of the exercise, describing it as a critical step in positioning the ADC for electoral victory. The former Senate President said the registration process would run on a dual system, combining both manual and online platforms to widen access and encourage mass participation.
He stressed that the party’s membership process would be open and transparent, noting that no individual or group would act as gatekeepers or determine access based on loyalty or influence.
According to him, the initiative is designed to strengthen the party’s structure ahead of future contests and lay a firm foundation for electoral success.
Mark urged party officials to register all willing Nigerians, insisting that inclusiveness would be central to the ADC’s strategy.
He said the party’s ultimate goal remains winning power in 2027, adding that the membership drive marks the beginning of that journey.
