His Excellency Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke’s wife, Her Excellency Erelu Ngozi Adeleke, praised the state’s ladies for turning out in large numbers to celebrate her husband’s inauguration.

as the State’s Executive Governor.

Adekele, a former senator, was sworn in as the sixth executive governor of Osun State on Sunday morning in Osogbo. A large crowd of PDP stakeholders, supporters, and guests from all walks of life attended the ceremony, which also received a lot of support from women.

Erelu Adekele described the high number of women who attended the ceremony as a demonstration of love and respect for her husband in a statement released on Sunday and signed by her media assistant, Ms. Nwaru Caroline Oluchi.

In addition, she said that Osun women had made significant contributions to her husband’s political win “during the campaigns, the election, and after the election, which ultimately resulted in the complete loss of APC and other parties’ candidates.”

The statement says, in part, “The first lady told Osun women that the new government under her husband will take them along in the new government.”

She called women “the pillar of the society” and said that the incoming administration will implement laws that would help women in all parts of the state.

Erelu Adekele gave the women of the state assurances that her husband will uphold justice and serve with a fear of God.

The renaming of the state from “State of Osun” to “Osun State” and from “The State of the Virtues” to “The State of the Living Spring” were among the ceremony’s highlights. Other notable changes included the immediate freezing of all government accounts, the creation of a panel to recover all assets, and the creation of a panel to review all appointments made since July 17th.

Additionally, starting on July 7th, 2022, the new governor annulled all appointments made by the outgoing governor, Adegboyega Oyetola.

Erelu Adekele pledged her commitment to making sure the administration fulfills its pledges regarding education, youth and women empowerment, betterment of the Osun State Health Sector, among other things, as well as her whole support for her husband as he settles in to lead Osun State.
