After defiling a 12-year-old girl to death in Ogun State, a recent ex-convict is on the run.

In Abeokuta, Ogun State, 12-year-old Janet Fakeye is alleged to have been raped to death by ex-convict Mercy Orija.

Shortly after the incident at the Fehintoluwa community in Idiya, Abeokuta-North Local Government Area of Ogun, Orija is alleged to have left.

The fleeing suspect was reportedly previously found guilty of attacking a Point-of-Service operator in the neighborhood last year.

According to reports, the girl, a junior secondary school student at the Army Day Secondary School in Alamala, Abeokuta, was pulled into a house by the suspect on Wednesday as she was returning home after buying soap to wash her uniform.

Before forcing himself on the teen, Orija reportedly bound her hands, her legs, and covered her mouth. The victim’s father, Sanjo Fakeye, confirmed the incident and said he is requesting justice from the authorities.
