Prominent activist Aisha Yesufu has declared that unseating President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election will be easier than the battle fought in the 2023 polls, signaling rising opposition confidence ahead of the next general election.

Yesufu, a leading voice during the 2023 election cycle, anchored her claim on growing public dissatisfaction with the current administration and renewed civic engagement. She argued that worsening perceptions of governance and accountability could further tilt voter sentiment against the president as 2027 approaches.

Taking to X, Yesufu stated, “God willing, defeating Tinubu in 2027 will be far easier than it was defeating him in 2023,” a remark that quickly stirred political debate across social media platforms.

Her comments align with emerging opposition rhetoric. A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, has also asserted that the party possesses the political strength to unseat Tinubu in the next election.

Momodu said the ADC could “topple” the president with a formidable coalition that includes former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, suggesting that opposition realignment could reshape the 2027 contest.

As political actors begin early positioning, Yesufu’s remarks underscore intensifying scrutiny of the Tinubu administration and a potentially volatile road to Nigeria’s next presidential election.
