Dr. Babatunde Ajayi has been appointed as the new General Manager of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.
According to Gboyega Akosile, the governor’s spokeswoman, the new LASEPA leader is a recognized medical practitioner, global health specialist, and seasoned administrator.
Akosile stated that Ajayi, a former Special Assistant to the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, was the driving force behind various projects and initiatives that improved health outcomes in Lagos.
According to the governor’s spokeswoman, Ajayi will take over for Dr. Dolapo Fasawe, another seasoned administrator and environmental activist who has been promoted at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos Will Take Action Against Lekki Club Employees Who Brutalized LASEPA Officials
Tokunbo Wahab, the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, has threatened to prosecute eleven employees of 10 POTS Night Club, located at 2A Admiralty Way, Lekki, for assaulting its officers while on duty.
Kunle Adeshina, the Director of Public Affairs, made this known in a statement issued on Sunday in Lagos, where he stated that the club personnel had broken the seal of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA).
He went on to say that they would all be arraigned in relevant courts of law on Monday, along with the property owner, as a deterrent to anyone who might consider pursuing such criminal alternatives.
