The family of the late First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Umo Eno, has revealed her burial arrangements, set for 29th November 2024. A funeral service will take place at her country home in Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium LGA, to honor her remarkable legacy.
Governor Umo Eno, alongside the family and state officials, confirmed the plans. Secretary to the State Government, Enobong Uwah, expressed gratitude for the nationwide support, saying, “We are deeply thankful for the overwhelming prayers and tributes during this difficult time.”
A series of events will begin on 20th November with the opening of the Mourning House, followed by condolence visits until 26th November. A Night of Worship and Tributes is scheduled for 22nd November at the International Christian Worship Centre in Uyo. Dr. Frank Ekpenyong, SSA-ICT, remarked, “Her Excellency was a beacon of hope, and this night of worship honors the light she brought to many.”
Governor Eno shared an emotional tribute, stating, “My wife was not only my partner but a pillar of strength for our family and Akwa Ibom. Her compassion and devotion were unmatched.”
